I am trying really hard to have this ideal date and I thought a nice day at a park with a cozy hammock would be it. I am having trouble finding a place to do this though. I was thinking a regular 15' hammock with tree straps. Any suggestions on locations?

I hung it between two trees with tree straps. When I get in it the center of the hammock is higher than the sides, I know you should llie in it diagonallly. Is this the way the center should be?

I bought a piece of nylon webbing. It's to hang a hammock on a tree. The design confuses me - I know there's a reason behind its design. One end is a metal o-ring with an s hook attached. That part, I get. The other end is a twisted loop. Winch straps and tie downs have a similar design - what's with the twisted loop? Why not a regular loop? How do you use it to make things more secure? Thanks in advance, boy scouts and cowboys!

The ENO straps chipped some of the bark off. (Yellow pine has large 2"-3" scale bark, easy for the scraps to slip under and pry off). I like the trees (one of the likes about my property), so risking their health is not going to work. I want this to be at least a seasonal install. (the hammock will come on and off w/ clips, but I'd like the anchors to stay up) At this point I'm thinking screw hooks may be the least invasive to the trees, however I wanted to reach out to gather opinions. I could probably get some larger (maybe 4" wide) straps made up, but would leaving those up on a tree all summer have adverse effects to it? I don't know the effect of covering a 4" ring of bark, and am not willing to risk the tree to find out.

For my computer graphics class I need to make a picture of WORDS made of pictures, NOT the other way around. For example, I did BEACH, where the B is surfboards, E is a camera with a strap, A is palm trees with a hammock, C is a kite with a tail, and H is a sandcastle. Please help me! I meant that was my first project, but I need to do two or three.
